It seems like a lot of people are trying to use a bike rack, and that's exactly what our neighbor is doing here today. Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2024 Chevrolet Traverse- Video

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Class 3 two-inch hitch receiver. Adding the hitch receiver to the back here at Traverse is gonna allow you to haul bike racks, cargo carriers, or maybe even tow a small trailer. If you're planning on towing a trailer, I highly recommend going ahead and picking up a four-pole wiring harness to install while you install the hitch, because our factory plug is gonna be right here behind the fascia. It'll be really, really easy to get it plugged in and get it working while you're installing the hitch. Being that this is a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver tube opening, it is gonna give you a lot of options for accessories out there. more

Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Installation - 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite Class I trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Chevrolet Bolt ev. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and for the most part, this is a hidden cross tube, meaning you're not gonna see a good portion of the hitch except for the receiver tube opening. Now a little bit over here, on these cutouts on the bumper, you are gonna see a little portion of the hitch if you're down low, but overall it stays pretty hidden and gives you a nice clean look overall. Now this is gonna be a Class I, so it's 1 1/4 inch receiver tube opening, which is not as common as your two inch receiver tube opening. So when it comes to accessories, you're gonna be a little bit more limited. But on a vehicle like this, a lot of times there's not many options. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer, and today we're talking about the Draw-Tite custom fit class three hitch receiver on a 2022 Chevrolet Express van. This is gonna be a great option for ya if you plan on towing anything, or if you have any accessories you wanna put on the back of this van so you can carry more. So let's take a closer to look at it. You notice we'll have these exposed cross tubes, and I don't actually see that as an issue because this is gonna be used more as a work van most of the time, so I don't have any issues with that. And up front we're gonna have our 2" hitch receiver and that's gonna allow you to put in your accessories and we're gonna have this kind of glossy finish to the top of it. I'm a fan of it 'cause it does match our bumper a fair amount. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2023 Chevrolet Traverse- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Chevy Traverse. Now you may be wondering, "Where is the hitch located I don't see anything." And that's the great part about the Traverse is from the factory, there's an access panel that's gonna cover up the hitch until you're ready to use it. You'll just simply twist those knobs. We'll get this to pop out, and now we have full access to our hitch. And that's kind of the great part about this one is it does, it is extremely hidden the entire time until you need to use it. Now that does require pulling the fascia off to get this installed, but overall, you're gonna get one of the cleanest looks out there with a nice OEM look when not using it. more

Today, we have a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox, and we're gonna be taking a look at, I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II 1-1/4 Hitch Receiver. Being that this is an 1-1/4 x 1-1/4 Hitch Receiver tube opening, that is going to be the size of the opening itself. It is not going to be the most common size out there on the market. A 2-inch hitch receiver's gonna be the most common size if you're looking for the most variety of accessories, but there's a couple of circumstances in which this 1-1/4 is gonna be just fine for you. The first one is gonna be like a lot of my friends, they switch from vehicle to vehicle, but all their accessories are 1-1/4 because the vehicle that they had before it, there was only an 1-1/4 hitch available for it. more

Today we have a 2024 Chevrolet Equinox and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the CURT Class 2 inch and a quarter Hitch Receiver. Adding the hitch receiver to the back of your Equinox is gonna allow you to haul different accessories such as bike racks, cargo carriers, or ball mounts, if you wanna pull a small trailer. I will say if you're planning on pulling a trailer, you will want to install a wiring kit too so that you can get your trailer lighting functions from your vehicle. One of the biggest reasons why people like to go with an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter hitch receiver tube is because they already have accessories from an older vehicle that they had that had an inch and a quarter hitch receiver. Me personally, I would go with one of the two inch hitch receiver tube options for the Equinox because it has a pretty impressive tow rating and if you ever want to pull a trailer, you can do that with it. more

This hitch is gonna be designed to replace the hitch support that will come factory on your Colorado. Typically the Colorado will come with that bar that's underneath here. You'll see the two safety chain loops sticking out and then there's, you're supposed to drill a hole in the top, slide a goose or a hitch ball down through there and then tighten up the nut. And then you have a hitch mounted on your step. more

So the only thing that you're gonna see hanging down from the bottom of the vehicle is the two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening. And that's really nice because being the two inch means that it's pretty universal. So you're gonna have plenty of options when it comes to cargo carriers, bike racks, or ball mounts. Now all of those are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip and that is not included with the hitch. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Chevrolet Cruze- Video

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at "etrailer" and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver on a 2019 Chevy Cruze. Now being a class one trailer hitch basically means that you're gonna have an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and you do kind of limit yourself a little bit with bike racks, ball mounts and cargo carriers. There's definitely still options out there, but on smaller vehicles sometimes you're limited with a inch and a quarter and my car is the same way. And don't worry, there's still plenty of accessories that you can pick up. Now when you do have your accessories in place you're gonna be using a half inch pin and clip to keep them in place. Now the hitch doesn't come with one. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Malibu- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and you can see it is slightly visible from a lower angle, but as you're standing up or if you're in a car behind it, all you really see is the receiver opening. And this one is going to be an inch and a quarter. So you're gonna be a little bit limited as far as selection of bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts but there's still plenty of them available to choose from. Now when you are putting your accessories in place, they're gonna be held in by a half inch pin and clip, and it does not come with the hitch. A lot of your accessories will come with a pin and clip, but if you want pick up an extra or a locking version that way you can lock your accessories in. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt Class 1 trailer hitch receiver on a 2021 Chevrolet Spark. This is what your hitch is going to look like when it's installed and in taking a closer look you're going to see it's an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. So this is going to be a smaller size so you're going to be a little more limited as far as your accessories but on a smaller car like this, sometimes this is your only option. In fact, I have a similar style hitch on my vehicle which I can use for my bike rack and it's really nice to be able to put a cargo carrier on there if necessary. Now when putting those accessories in place you're going to have a half inch hitch pin hole and that's going to allow you to get your accessories in place. Now the hitch doesn't come with a pin and clip but a lot of times your accessories, when you pick those up, will come with one. more

Now, this particular one, it has the smaller inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter opening. So you are somewhat limited to the things you can do with it. Personally, I'd recommend this one if let's say you already had an inch and a quarter accessory or you we're really only planning on using a smaller bike rack or something along those lines this would be a good fit. Especially too, because being a little bit smaller it looks a little bit better when we're discreet. more
